Lalalar sono tornati con un nuovo album su Les Disques Bongo Joe! Dopo aver infiammato i palchi europei con l’uscita del loro primo LP nel 2022, l’onnipotente band turca ritorna con En Kötü Iyi Olur, un album che rispecchia la loro immagine: tagliente, indipendente, politica e tremendamente efficace.
Con le loro radici immerse nella poesia e nei suoni anatolici, ma con un focus verso i club e il rock intransigente, i Lalalar non mollano la presa e ancora una volta sono pronti a sconvolgere tutti. L’intero album è atteso per l’8 settembre, ma noi siamo felici di condividere con voi oggi il primo singolo intitolato Hem Evimsin Hem Cehennemim!
Le strade di Istanbul sono da sempre un miscuglio incredibile di fermento politico, furore sociale e forte progresso in ambito musicale. Un focolaio di suoni tumultuosi e artisti che ricercano nuovi risultati e sonorità; un sottoprodotto di cultura giovane che ha vissuto sotto il governo di Erdoan per quasi un decennio. È da queste strade che la band Lalalar si è concretizzata. Gli “attivisti-elettronici” alternativi Ali Güçlü, Barlas Tan Özemek e Alican Ipek sono dei radicali in termini di ideologie politiche e sonorità; schietti, ideologici e pieni di energia, maturi per la pista da ballo.
Il primo singolo Hem Evimsin Hem Cehennemim ricava sonorità dalla tradizione classica turca e medio orientale prima di trasformarsi in una hit fatta su misura per i club e i palchi più in voga.
Tra l’amore e la dipendenza, la canzone riflette sulla difficoltà delle relazioni intense. Con una linea di basso incredibile, un riff tagliente e uno stile vocale che mescola rap e canto, nessuno rimane indifferente, il pezzo è creato per coloro che ballano in tutto il mondo. Il suo ritmo infettivo e il suono potente imposta il tono per il resto dell’album.
En Kötü Iyi Olur uscirà l’8 settembre, ma si può già scaricare il primo singolo Hem Evimsin Hem Cehennemim e tutte le altre informazioni necessarie seguendo il link sottostante. L’intero album sarà rivelato nei prossimi mesi. -

Kantig, unabhängig, politisch und ungeheuer tanzbar. Lalalar funktionieren Psychadelic-Rock und cluborientierte Beats zu ihrem Werkzeug des Protests um. Auf ihrem neuen Album „En Kötü Iyi Olur” bündeln sie anatolische Poesien, nostalgische Klangwelten, gebrochene Vocals sowie aufsässige Gitarren miteinander und transportieren die Frustration und Auflehnung einer ganzen Generation. Punkig, unverblümt und voller energetischer Botschaften kitzeln sie die lebensbejahende Kraft aus ihren Zuhörenden und den Wunsch nach einem liebevollen „Wirgefühl“.

Are you familiar with future nostalgia? We talk about the crisis of the present and hope for what positive things will come. If you understand and feel the concept, we want to give it to you a radiant light: the most pleasant and fun noise in all of Anatolia is ready to land in our secret garden. Lalalar use this very expression to describe themselves on their website and it seems fitting to us: how liberating can it be to wriggle to the rhythm of Turkish litanies dirtied by powerful beats and pulsating guitars?
Born as a live band in 2019, it took them three years to create their debut album in a brainstorming of frenetic concerts and frenetic mosh pits. A slow cooking of the songs (as defined by themselves) which led to a groove as intoxicating as the scent of Near Eastern spices. translates with the Latin expression “a spark is enough to light the fire”: from Lucretius to Dante, it is a proverb that historically proves to be a harbinger of impulses of passion.
A flame that fully blazes in their second and recent album, ̈̈ (2023, Bongo Joe): the sounds become more post punk, the climaxes of the pieces more overwhelming but the atmospheres remain unmistakable. The chaos and contrasting colors of Istanbul become lustful music. If the temperature under the stage rises, it won’t just be August’s fault.

Le strade di Istanbul sono sempre state un crogiolo di energia politica, furore sociale e intensa progressione musicale. È un focolaio di suoni tumultuosi e artisti alla ricerca di nuovi sbocchi e suoni; un sottoprodotto della cultura giovanile che ha vissuto sotto il governo di Erdogan per quasi un decennio. È da queste strade che la band Lalalar ha preso forma. Questi electronic-activists sono radicali in termini di ideologia politica dei suoni; schietti e pieni di energia.

Le groupe offre une nostalgie du futur à travers des lignes de basse rétro-cinématiques, des rythmes électro sales, des voix rétractées, des guitares qui flirtent entre elles-mêmes et des samples gentiment déterrés de l’héritage de l’Anatolie. Die Strassen Istanbuls waren schon immer ein Schmelztiegel politischer Energie, sozialer Wut und intensiver musikalischer Entwicklung. Es ist eine Brutstätte für krawallige Klänge und Künstler, die nach neuen Möglichkeiten und Sounds suchen – ein Nebenprodukt der Jugendkultur, die seit fast einem Jahrzehnt unter der Herrschaft von Erdoğan lebt. Die Band Lalalar ist aus diesen Strassen hervorgegangen. Die alternativen Elektronik-Aktivisten Ali Güçlü Şimşek, Barlas Tan Özemek und Alican İpek sind Radikale in Bezug auf ihre politische Ideologie der Klänge: unverblümt, ideologisch und voller Energie, reif für den Dancefloor, beziehungsweise reif, um die AM SCHLUSS Bühne an diesem Donnerstagabend zu genau dem zu verwandeln.
Die erste Single des neuesten Albums «Hem Evimsin Hem Cehennemim» greift auf klassische türkische und nahöstliche Klänge zurück, bevor sie sich in einen Banger verwandelt, der für Clubs und die heissesten Bühnen massgeschneidert ist. Zwischen Liebe und Sucht reflektiert der Song über die Schwierigkeit von intensiven Beziehungen. Mit einer Killer-Bassline, scharfen Gitarrenriffs und einem Gesangsstil, der Rap und Gesang vermischt und niemanden gleichgültig lässt, ist der Track wie geschaffen für Tänzerinnen und Tänzer auf der ganzen Welt. Sein ansteckender Beat und sein kraftvoller Sound geben den Ton an für den Abend des 25. Julis 2024 am Festival AM SCHLUSS.

After setting European stages on fire with the release of their first LP in 2022, the almighty Turkish band returns with En Kötü Iyi Olur, an album that reflects their image: edgy, independent, political, and tremendously effective. - juli 2024 får du servert et band som har blåst oss av banen ved flere anledninger: LALALAR Tyrkisk psykedelia har vært på radaren til en god del av dere de siste årene med nederlandske (!) Altın Gün som med rette har vokst til å bli et ganske stort band, men det er mange flere der ute. For å si det mildt. Men hva med tyrkisk psykedelia fra Tyrkia som dypper tåa i postpunk? Der Altin Gün lokker frem sommeridyllen med sine coverlåter av gamle tyrkiske klassikere, så maner Lalalar frem et annerledes sanseapparat. Det er tilsvarende drivende, kanskje enda mer faktisk, men litt mer olmsk stemning er å forvente. Det er et band som passer Goldie perfekt i så henseende; mørkt, svett og dansbart. Ike rart at Iggy Pop omtaler trioen som en av de mest innovative og fete bandene som kommer fra Tyrkia nå om dagen.
